Spring is in the air! With the arrival of the change in seasons, we have many upcoming events to provide opportunities to engage with the Fireshed Coalition, starting with a seminar on April 4th.

NEPA Demystified: Understanding the Framework for Analyzing Forest Restoration Projects

The Spring Seminar Series is held every other Wednesday April 4th - May 2nd. Presented by the Fireshed Coalition. There will be time for discussion, questions and community announcements. Each seminar will address a new topic and may integrate discussions or ideas from the previous topic.

FREE community event presented by the Wildland Urban Fire Summit on April 11th at The Lodge for a Fire Adapted Communities presentation, networking and a reception with a cash bar and provided hors d'oeuvres. Please RSVP if you plan on attending this event.

Post wildfire flooding: think ahead of the fire

Ever wonder what would happen if we did have a major wildfire in the fireshed? how would it impact our water resources, rivers and streams? Join us to learn about post-wildfire flooding from NOAA and USGS experts. How can we think ahead of the fire to protect our homes and communities? Presented by the Fireshed Coalition.

National wildfire community preparedness day: are you prepared?

Presented by the City of Santa Fe Fire Department. Join the City of Santa Fe Fire Department on Sat., May 5th for National Wildfire Community Preparedness Day. Learn how to live in a fire adapted community, wildfire awareness, evacuation planning, and what to know after the fire.

The Fireshed Coalition is launching a new program called the Fireshed Ambassadors that will provide community leaders the tools and know-how to lead their HOAs and/or neighbors in steps to becoming more fire adapted for a safer community overall.
