Wildfire Preparedness Day

Wildfire Preparedness Day -May 4th 2019

Wildfire Community Preparedness Day is an annual campaign that encourages people to come together on a single day to take action to reduce their wildfire risk. As an ambassador organizing an event in your community is a strong step to take toward making your neighborhood more fire adapted. These events can take many forms, from hosting a potluck and talking about making your home more resistant to wildfire to renting a chipper and having your community come together to remove woody waste. For more information, ideas of events, and resources go to the NFPA website.

$500 Mini grants available

NFPA and State Farm offer $500 grants to fund wildfire risk reduction activities. Check this link below for information about applying.
