Please join us to visit the Pacheco Canyon Prescribed Fire.

On September, 14th 2019

On May 5th 2019, the 500 acre Pacheco Canyon Rx Burn block was completed east of Tesuque. The burn was a collaborative effort with led by the US Forest Service, with participation from the National Park service, The Pueblo of Tesuque, Santa Fe County Fire department, Santa Fe City Fire department and Forest Stewards Guild.

This field trip will be a chance to visit the site of the burn with fire ecologists and the wildland firefighters that implemented the burn to learn about the effects of prescribed fire within the Greater Santa Fe Fireshed. We will have a short presentation about the project and then time to walk the site and converse with representatives from the Forest Service and other Fireshed Partners.

For more information contact Sam Berry at: sam@forestguild.org or Hannah Bergemann at: hannah.bergemann@usda.gov

Participation is limited to the first 25 individuals to register due to transportation limitations and parking at the field site.
